A couple of things…
Semester officially over! Sweet… think I managed at least 2 A’s out of 3 classes.
Next semester will be a bit more difficult with 4 classes, three of which are gen ed (survey of math, writing for business and career management)… the 4th is a usability class wherein we learn how to code php, MySQL and other fun things.
I need to really focus on making designs in photoshop and incorporating them into dreamweaver, and then uploading them. I think it will make my pages look better, less flat. Oh, and flash… while I don’t enjoy full on flash sites I think a little bit is cool and cutting edge. I’ll be making a list of stuff I want to learn how to do and making sure I get that in school.
Mailing lists is what I really brought you here to talk about… the band site wants a mailing list. All I’m familiar with is sites like Bravenet, ad supported apps. But I’m unsure how they really work. My client doesn’t want to deal with the mailing list… would that be left up to me to manage since I maintain the site? I haven’t got a problem with it, just want to be clear how they work.
So, yea… that’s about it for this session…
Happy Holidays!

I’ve had great success with using dadamail. After setting it up, I gave my clients directions on how to send out mass emails but usually they end up going, “Can you do this for me?” which is no problem (more $$ to bill for!).
