Frustration abounds…
So, in school we are working on our portfolios. Three versions. Version one: interactive cd.cool. Version two: website.yay. Version three: physical, printed one.curses. I can’t seem to wrap my brain around how we are to re-size the samples for print. Most of my stuff is websites, not really meant to be printed. I had my instructor go step by step with me on what I needed to do, I was doing alright in class. Seemed to understand. But apparently there is something missing. ugh. I hate when I can’t figure out things in school. Makes me feel o.l.d.
In other news… I can’t wait until I have more time to work on my actual personal and freelance sites… going to classes, then working 8 hours, and 1-2 hours spent on class work there are few brain cells functioning.
Did I mention two more semesters? yay.

Yay for 2 more semesters!
So are you talking about website samples for print? Just do a screencapture of the front page of the site.
Kind of like this company’s brochure:

Yea, but they have to be re-sized to fit in a portfolio, 11×9…. I think I have it sorted now. He wants them to be about 5×5 inches in size, or a little smaller. The problem is in this class there’s a mixture of print students and interactive students…so some things won’t exactly apply to us web only students and I get all confuzzled.

Oh, THAT kind of portfolio. I was thinking it was like a brochure. Yeah, that sucks because everything has to be in high resolution and it’s not as easy to just do a screen capture of a website you’ve designed.
